INFO: Healthy Communities’ Silver Stage Food Pantry is temporarily closed. They are asking individuals to use HCC’s Yerington Food Pantry and Dayton Food Pantry. In June the Quick Space where they stored the food and other items along with the supplies used to operate were consumed and destroyed in a fire. . Food, both canned and fresh, plus diapers, infant formula and pet food along with the supplies used to operate the pantry such as carts, racks, crates, and scales to weigh food were among the items destroyed. Healthy Communities’ Director Wendy Madson explains, "At this time the Silver Stage Food Pantry is closed while we clean and work through the necessary steps to ensure a safe environment."
