While making conservation and stewardship our focused priorities, NDOR continues to help develop and benefit from the exponential growth of the outdoor recreation economy.
MANDATES: Created during the 2019 legislative session, the Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation is a Division within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The 11-member Advisory Board on Outdoor Recreation brings together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the state to support and advise the Division on important outdoor recreation matters like funding, projects, and other opportunities that benefit the state. MANDATES: The Advisory Committee on the Safety and Well-Being of Public School Staff was created by AB 72 in the 2023 Legislative session. This bill was signed into law by Governor Lombardo on June 9th 2023. The advisory committee is charged with reviewing, investigating and making recommendations any issue relating to the safety and well-being of public school staff, including provisions of law or regulations that affect the safety and well-being of public school staff and the consistent implementation of discipline of pupils. The committee shall on or before June 30th, 2025 make recommendations to the Legislature, any offices of this State and any Political Subdivisions of the State of Nevada. The advisory committee expired by limitation on June 30th, 2025.

MISSION: The Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting Attorneys is a state agency with a broad statutory mandate. The mission of the Advisory Council is:

Advisory Task Force on HIV Exposure Modernization

INFO: The Task Force was designed to conduct a comprehensive examination of the statutes and regulations in this State related to the criminalization of exposing a person to the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). It researched implementation and impact of state statutes, identified disparities, evaluated medical and scientific research, and identified court decisions. Worked to modernize harmful and outdated HIV criminalization laws in Nevada.
MANDATES: Established by Senate Bill 275 (2021). The Task Force's work led to reforms of criminal and public health statutes to ensure people living with HIV are treated fairly and appropriately under the law.
MEETINGS: The task force has dissolved after three years and receiving pushback. It met from February 2022 to January 2023 to complete its final report.
MISSION: To enhance Nevada’s connectivity, economic vitality, and global competitiveness by fostering sustainable air service development, supporting community and industry needs, and driving innovation in aviation across the state.
INFO: Over the next five years, the Nevada Air Service Development Commission will have secured sustainable funding sources for the Nevada Air Service Development Fund and demonstrated success through expanded Nevada air service leveraging grant funded initiatives. Over the next five years, community and stakeholder engagement efforts should focus on understanding the evolving needs of both the air service industry and the communities it serves. Beyond industry stakeholders, the Nevada Air Service Development Commission must communicate how its activities benefit individuals and businesses across the state. MANDATES: AB 58 July 1,2023. NRS 231.600 through 231.730. The Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting Attorneys is a state agency with a broad statutory mandate under NRS 241A.070 . Improved air service can provide tangible benefits, such as shorter flights connecting Nevada’s vast geography—like establishing a route between Elko and Reno to complement the existing Elko-Salt Lake City flight. Expanding air service across industries such as medical transport and mining will further increase its impact and attract support for multi-user projects. Improvements to intrastate, domestic, and international air service supported by the Nevada Air Service Development Fund ensure that the Commission’s impact extends beyond Nevada’s borders and strengthens connections to key markets and destinations

MISSION: Our mission is to ensure that all barbers in Nevada are well qualified, adequately trained, and capable for providing hygienic professional service in a safe and healthy environment.
INFO: The State of Nevada Barber's Health and Sanitation Board provides guidance, licensing, and compliance oversight for all barber activities in Nevada. The Board issues Permits to Practice Barbering in the State of Nevada. Their purpose is to protect the public's health and safety who obtain professional barber services in the State of Nevada.
MANDATES: NRS and NAC Chapter 643. Although the Nevada State Legislature approves the laws and regulations, the Board Members contribute to the democratic process by formally addressing complaints, violation appeals, law and regulation revision reviews, and determining proper disciplinary action for unsafe practices at Board Meetings. INFO: The Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council serves as an advocate for adults with serious mental illness (SMI), children and youth with severe emotional disturbance (SED), other individuals with mental illnesses or emotional problems, and persons with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, with the goal of improving behavioral health services in Nevada.

MISSION: To promote the safety and enjoyment of bicycling and pedestrian activities in Nevada.
INFO: One of the purposes of NBPAB is to be a voice for citizens to our state agencies and local municipalities to provide valuable input into the decision and planning process, which could include consideration of bicycle and pedestrian facilities, policies and behaviors. Meetings include specific trail projects and other topics.
MANDATES: Created by the State Legislature. Positions appointed by the governor. Seven members represent pre-determined segments of Nevada's bicycle and pedestrian stakeholders. The remaining seven members represent State agencies whose overview relates to bicycling and walking.

INFO: The Board of Agriculture establishes the policy of the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) and adopts regulations necessary for the operation of NDA to carry out the provisions of the laws and programs administered by the NDA. The board reviews applications, administers examinations, registers qualified applicants, and regulates the professional practice of registrants throughout the state. In addition, it investigates complaints relating to the practice of the professions.
