Animal Rescue and Adoptions-Reno: Provides rescue and care for dogs and cats, as well as rabbits, gerbils, hamster reptiles, birds, and other small animals. The shelter is open seven days a week for adoptions. All dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Rabbits are also neutered.

INFO: NOTO has several programs that serve the needs of the community with “No to Abuse” providing comprehensive continuum of needed psycho-social and prevention education programs and services to men, women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Throughout September and October Nevada Outreach Training Organization is offering a self-management six week workshop for individuals who are prediabetic or living with someone who is. The workshop is free. They also offer monthly USDA commodity distributions to those who qualify. On October 2-3 they are offering a remote area medical clinic. Services include dental, vision, medical, and mental health.

This program provides unaccompanied homeless youth with guidance to promote transitioning to adulthood and gaining self-sufficiency. Designed for youth without a stable place to live. To receive a housing assessment, please come to the NPHY Drop-In Center: walk-in's are welcome from 9am - 12pm, and appointments are preferred after 1pm.
