INFO: The Access Advisory Committee was created to review City Codes and policies for their usefulness in helping to make places more accessible to people with disabilities. Its efforts have focused on improving access to public facilities, businesses, and residences for use by individuals with physical or other disabilities, as well as on increasing public awareness of the physical accessibility, educational and employment needs of disabled individuals.

This document contains the Strategic Plan for the Nevada State Board of Accountancy, a selfgoverning regulatory board authorized under Chapter 628 of Nevada Revised Statutes. All costs of operating the Board are paid from fees collected by the Board. The Board consists of seven members, appointed by the Governor, five of whom hold current certified public accountant licenses and practice in public accounting, one who is a licensed certified public accountant practicing in industry, and one who is a public member not engaged in the practice of accounting. MANDATES: The 11-member Advisory Board on Outdoor Recreation brings together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the state to support and advise the Division on important outdoor recreation matters like funding, projects, and other opportunities that benefit the state. Seven of the seats are named by statute while four are appointed by the Governor.

MANDATES: The Advisory Committee on the Safety and Well-Being of Public School Staff was created by AB 72 in the 2023 Legislative session. This bill was signed into law by Governor Lombardo on June 9th 2023. The advisory committee is charged with reviewing, investigating and making recommendations any issue relating to the safety and well-being of public school staff, including provisions of law or regulations that affect the safety and well-being of public school staff and the consistent implementation of discipline of pupils. The committee shall on or before June 30th, 2025 make recommendations to the Legislature, any offices of this State and any Political Subdivisions of the State of Nevada. The advisory committee expired by limitation on June 30th, 2025.

MANDATES: AB 72 JANUARY 30, 2023 (a) Five licensed teachers who are employed by a school district in this State, appointed by the Governor; (b) One member of the Senate, appointed by the Majority Leader of the Senate; (c) One member of the Assembly, appointed by the Speaker of the Assembly; and (d) The following ex officio members: (1) The Superintendent of Public Instruction or his or her designee; and (2) The Director of the Office for a Safe and Respectful Learning Environment appointed pursuant to NRS 388.1323.
MEETINGS: The Advisory Committee shall meet at least once in the first calendar year after its creation and thereafter at the call of the Chair as frequently as is required to perform its duties.

MISSION: The Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting Attorneys is a state agency with a broad statutory mandate. The mission of the Advisory Council is:

* To provide leadership on legal and public policy issues related to the duties of prosecutors;
* To enhance communication and cooperation among prosecutors and the judiciary, law enforcement, state and local government, the bar, and other public and private organizations concerned with the administration of justice;
* To provide training, education, resources and support to prosecutors and their support staff, law enforcement, government agencies, and the citizens of the State of Nevada; and
* To foster professionalism and competency among the offices of prosecutors in the State of Nevada by providing a forum for communication and cooperation.
The members of the Advisory Council are dedicated to the accomplishment of this Mission by developing consensus on legal and public policy issues of statewide significance to prosecutors. MANDATES: AB 58 July 1,2023. NRS 231.600 through 231.730. The Nevada Advisory Council for Prosecuting Attorneys is a state agency with a broad statutory mandate under NRS 241A.070 . Improved air service can provide tangible benefits, such as shorter flights connecting Nevada’s vast geography—like establishing a route between Elko and Reno to complement the existing Elko-Salt Lake City flight. Expanding air service across industries such as medical transport and mining will further increase its impact and attract support for multi-user projects. Improvements to intrastate, domestic, and international air service supported by the Nevada Air Service Development Fund ensure that the Commission’s impact extends beyond Nevada’s borders and strengthens connections to key markets and destinations

MISSION: Our mission is to ensure that all barbers in Nevada are well qualified, adequately trained, and capable for providing hygienic professional service in a safe and healthy environment.
INFO: The State of Nevada Barber's Health and Sanitation Board provides guidance, licensing, and compliance oversight for all barber activities in Nevada. The Board issues Permits to Practice Barbering in the State of Nevada. Their purpose is to protect the public's health and safety who obtain professional barber services in the State of Nevada.

MANDATES: NRS and NAC Chapter 643. Although the Nevada State Legislature approves the laws and regulations, the Board Members contribute to the democratic process by formally addressing complaints, violation appeals, law and regulation revision reviews, and determining proper disciplinary action for unsafe practices at Board Meetings. INFO: The Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council serves as an advocate for adults with serious mental illness (SMI), children and youth with severe emotional disturbance (SED), other individuals with mental illnesses or emotional problems, and persons with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, with the goal of improving behavioral health services in Nevada.

INFO: One of the purposes of NBPAB is to be a voice for citizens to our state agencies and local municipalities to provide valuable input into the decision and planning process, which could include consideration of bicycle and pedestrian facilities, policies and behaviors. Meetings include specific trail projects and other topics.

The members of the Board must be appointed by the Governor. The members of the Board shall elect a Chair and Vice Chair from among the members appointed.
